Highlights at the Table
Porcelain that adds a magical touch to the winter time: pearlescent accents and delicate wintery designs together create highlights and bring a festive atmosphere to the table.
Without committing to particular holidays, many beautiful individual pieces are combined to create a festive theme. This makes 'Highlights at the Table' equally suitable for an elegant candlelight dinner as well as for celebrating advent or Christmas, New Year's Eve or other special occasions.
For those wonderful days of the year – those hours when coming home and being home feels more special and precious than at any other time of the year.
The special touch of the new festive winter table aesthetics is a new décor in an iridescent, pearlescent look. A faint rainbow of light reflections also covers the inner surface of the bowls, when a tea light is placed inside.
Together with the dreamy, mystical landscapes of Elixyr „Blaue Stunde“ (Twilight), they create a mysterious, after-dark ambiance.
Recipe: Raw food confections with pomegranate seeds
Video and recipe idea: Food with a View
A cool and blustery afternoon in late autumn – the beginning of the dark time of the year.
The porcelain sparkles in the shine of the candlelight, and outside the trees are festooned with twinkling chains of lights. The trees cast sharp outlines in the last daylight above the horizon, and the wind chases the clouds across the sky. High above we hear the wild geese, leaving for the warmer South.
An afternoon for 'highlights at the table'.
Ingredients for about 15 confections
For the confectionery mass
100 gr. dried dates, pitted, coarsely chopped
100 gr. whole hazelnuts
4 tablespoons cocoa powder, raw food quality
1 teaspoon ground vanilla
3 tablespoons maple syrup
100 gr. avocado
1 teaspoon lemon juice
50 gr. pistachios, finely chopped
Coarsely chop the dates and together with the hazelnuts, cocoa powder, vanilla and maple syrup blend in a food processor until they form a creamy yet firm paste.
Place avocado flesh and lemon juice in tall mixing cup and finely puree with immersion blender. Add the date paste to the avocado. Stir with spoon and then mix again with immersion blender until well-blended. Put aside.
Add chopped pistachios to small bowl. Using a teaspoon, scoop pomegranate seeds from the fruit and put in a separate small bowl.
Using two teaspoons, scoop small portions from the finished confectionery mass and roll in the chopped pistachios, forming little balls. Arrange balls on serving platter and make a depression in the centre of each confection with the end of a wooden spoon handle, for example. Add a few pomegranate seeds to each depression.
The intricate drawings of Update “Winter’s Tale” bring a sunny winter day spent outdoors to life: subtle natural tones, light grey, real wood and lustre bring tree branches, animals and glistening snow to the table.
For tea, coffee or mulled wine, there are two touch! cups. Their pastel-coloured velvety sleeves in ice-blue or lavender communicate with the iridescent look of the porcelain.
